Ric Flair's current going rate for overseas bookings is $30,000 per appearance, which includes two first class tickets for himself and his agent Elaine Gillespie who accompanies him on all of his appearances. Gillespie is insisting on all money up front. The old standard was for top stars to get half the money in advance as a bond.

Flair's recent publicity on TMZ did end up hurting him and not because of his daughter's arrest. The photo of Flair with a black eye had hurt a possible deal with Coca-Cola as they were in talks with him until they saw the photos. Flair still has deals with several Southeastern Wal-Marts.

It should be noted that TNA has sent feelers through Hermie Sadler to Flair, but Flair signed a one-year non-compete clause when he got his release from WWE as it pertained to working for TNA specifically.

Your thoughts on the possibility of Flair going to TNA?

I think it's a disgrace.

Would like to see them be able to do something with Sting and Flair, but apart from that TNA should steer clear of Flair and concentrate on sorting their crap booking out first.

A disgrace? In what possible way?

Anyway, I agree with Lex - it would be nice to see some kind of real closure for Flair and Sting.

It would sour what was a great match with HBK at Mania possibly for me but you raise a good point.

Flair and Sting would be decent for TNA. Storied rivalry that people would probably wanna see. I aint really interested in Sting but having seen the matches they have had then why not try one more time? I reckon it would be pretty cool.

By the way...what is the deal with Christian? Any rumours on him leaving? I heard his contracts up in a month.

PowerSlam are reporting that his contract is coming up for renewal, but I've not heard of any offers from WWE. Looks like he'll be staying in Orlando.

Would love to see a few of the ex-WWE guys leave TNA and return to WWE in a stronger role and Christian would be a prime example of someone who could benefit from such a move. Imagine and Edge vs. Christian feud now, or even an E+C reunion?!

TNA's roster is getting so bloated, especially at the top and it would really help if they could get rid of some of the top tier guys in this way to make room for other talents (like Matt Morgan or Robert Roode).

That is the biggest issue that I see with TNA to be honest, they are not concentrating enough on their young stars that truly are the future of the company, and instead seem to want to spend their money buying stars like Mick Foley, Kurt Angle, and others that might help them short term, but will not get them to compete against WWE in the end.

Worryingly, this was the WCW model in the mid 90's, wasn't it? Pick up the talent Vince didn't keep signed on for one reason or another for their name value and to help establish themselves, but then sit the biggest names atop the roster and constantly push them rather than the newer guys. Which in turn led to WWF/E picking up the underused guys and making them big stars instead.

Even worse - unlike WCW, no one gives a shit about the big names, so it's not even really helping them short term.

Maybe they're afraid to take the next step because, following that model, Joe, Roode, AJ and Daniels would debut on Raw the moment that they became a threat lol!

I think it is perfectly understandable why they would pick up some of the guys that WWE part ways with.

Guys like Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner etc are the problem. They were past it in their last runs in WWE so I dont know whats changed.

Mick Foley is a weird one though...love the guy but whats the plans for him?

I agree with what you're saying but I think Mick could be used as a writer when his role on tv is over.
Steiner has proven that when he needs to, he can work still. And most importantly, works great with the X Division guys.

I agree with most of the things being said in here. I mean TNA has a lot of potential, which has always been said, but I just dont understand why they stick with Russo. I mean he is such an awful writer and isnt all that well suited for the wrestling world today like he was in the 90's.

TNA just has too many wrestlers and not enough good ideas on how to use them. I mean Booker T has gone back to his King Booker role which really just screams copying the WWE but at least its entertaining. Kurt Angle is useless in TNA. He should have gone the way he did in ECW.

I honestly dont mind Scott Steiner in TNA. He isnt the worst wrestler in the world, he seemed to actually manage to get Petey Williams over and did pretty well working with him, and the one thing that sticks out is that he is willing to change and improve to deserve his spot. He is willing to find his place on the card, work and put someone over, and seems to want to improve past his 90's roid rage era.

Some guys I would love to see go back to the WWE are Christian Cage for sure. Right now he could really get the top spot what with guys like Edge, Jericho, and others getting their chance. If Punk can win the title surely Chistian can. Also some other people I would love to see go back are The Dudleys. In TNA I do not find they are funny or badass or whatever it is they seem to wanna be but at least in the WWE they have lots of young talented tag teams that could learn from them and also possibly get back to their roots.

Yeah pretty much Laughing

But I ment mostly just the stuff they do now comes across as childish and just plain lame. They look like 40 year old men trying to be punk kids and it dont work. They need to take a more serius role and focus more on their legacy rather then just being little dickwads going around and setting people up on dates.

I read on 411 yesterday TNA's rumoured new title will be the "Legends" belt, Booker T is carrying it around in his briefcase and will defend it against fellow legends or younger talent that aren't on his level

Sounds crap but then i hate Booker T anyway so the very fact he is involved makes it crapper but even without the crapfest that is Booker T it would still sound like a crap idea

I look forward to seeing how it works out Very Happy

If he can defend it against younger 'non-legends', then what is the point of the belt? If Eric Young won it would they have to rename the belt?

411 were reporting it would be a vanity belt to add to the current "Old v New" angle, like the Million Dollar Belt, not a real championship.

Jarretts did an interview with the sun online saying Angles comments about his wife werent planned but he didnt have a problem with it cos Kurt was just making himself look a cunt by saying it basically

The Sun must be so happy to be getting all these "exclusives" but i just cant help but feel TNA are trying to blur the lines

Christian Cage, whose contract with TNA expires in December, and TNA owner Dixie Carter were seen having intense discussions backstage at the Turning Point PPV last night.

Christian has given the impression to TNA he is seriously considering returning to WWE, but he has not indicated yet he is strongly leaning that direction. He may be stringing along TNA to avoid being "jobbed out," but top wrestlers in TNA believe he might be convinced to re-sign if the money is right.

Christian is torn between the competitive juices to be back in the top promotion and see what he could accomplish, plus get back on the road with his friend Edge. He also enjoys the schedule of TNA and knowledge he will have influence over his character and get a consistent top tier push in TNA.

I'm not even sure what to think about it. He's going, he's not going...I don't know.

TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION (TNA) WRESTLING INVITES ALASKA GOVERNOR SARAH PALIN TO JOIN "THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE"

TNA ANNOUNCES SPECIAL "SARAH PALIN CEREMONY" FOR DECEMBER 7 AT ITS "FINAL RESOLUTION" PAY-PER-VIEW IN ORLANDO. TNA AGREES TO DONATE $50,000 TO GOV. PALIN'S FAVORITE CHARITY OR ALASKAN YOUTH HOCKEY LEAGUE.

Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling has announced that it is formally inviting Alaska governor and former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin to become an honorary member of "The Beautiful People" the elite group of TNA Knockouts led by Angelina Love and Velvet Sky.

TNA officials said a "Sarah Palin Ceremony" is scheduled for December 7 at its "Final Resolution" pay-per-view as part of her "Honorary TNA Knockout" membership in The Beautiful People, and TNA President Dixie Carter will personally fly Gov. Palin and her husband, Todd, from their home in Anchorage to Orlando, Florida, for the December event.

TNA Wrestling will make the formal invitation to Gov. Palin Thursday, November 13, on "TNA iMPACT!" at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Spike.

TNA will present Gov. Palin with a $50,000 check at "Final Resolution" made out to the charity of her choice, or will make the donation to the youth hockey association in her native Wasilla, Alaska.

"Governor Palin has combined her experiences as a wife and mother with her political savvy to prove to America and the world that politics aren't just a man's game. I know firsthand what challenges you have to face when breaking a glass ceiling in a male-dominate profession," Carter said.

The stars of TNA Wrestling can be seen for two hours each and every Thursday night on "TNA iMPACT!" (9 p.m. ET/PT, Spike). The TNA roster features Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, TNA World Heavyweight Champion Sting, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash, Booker T, Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett, Christian Cage, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe, among others.

TNA in living in the past shocker!

Seriously... pull this stunt a few weeks ago and it might, just might have been a good idea - pulling them some serious column inches... instead they want to invite her now that her stock is virtually worthless. Brilliant. What's next Roy Jones Jr to referee the main event? Special Guest Timekeeper Sisqo? Ringside appearance by the Insane Clown Possee... oh, no... wait...

Honestly why do TNA make it so hard for themselves to succeed? Don't they think they've got a hard enough job already?!
