One of the most disturbing films I have seen. Great acting from the antagonists.

I thought the original was much better than the remake. I enjoyed the remake, but I thought the acting in the original was just so much more intense, more heart-wrenching.

It was alright, but not a "repeat viewing" film for me.

Sorry to disagree with you, but I thought In Bruges was one of the most under-appreciated films of the decade. I was so happy to see it get nominated for best screenplay, because I thought it was brilliant. I've always been a fan of McDonagh's theatre works, and I thought this was just as great as his plays, if not better. The script was fantastic, the score was great, and Farrell's performance was surprisingly incredible.

I am personally not a huge fan of Haneke's work, even though I generally love his style of filmmaking. I didn't enjoy either of the Funny Games movies, and while I did like The White Ribbon a lot, I dont think I could watch it through again. Though I admit I am still up in the air about Hidden.

As for In Bruge, I agree with you MK that it was very underappreciated, but I still think Farrell, while strong at times in the film, he's still a little weak. Check out his delivery of the line " a week...here...with you! No way!", I always felt that line is horribly delivered. But the script is gorgeous and Brendan Gleeson is what makes the entire film work for me.

The Expendables - I was so disappointed in this film. As a comedy film it wasn't funny. As an action film it was boring. The "story" was complete shit. I'm still trying to figure out what it was trying to be. There was no depth to anything in the whole film - the story, the characters, nothing. I wanted to love it but it was just awful. There were three things that I did like though:

    Spoiler:
    1. Probably unintentional symbolism of Randy Couture (UFC) standing over a burning Steve Austin (WWE).
    2. Random cameos from the Nogueira brothers.
    3. Probably unintentional awkward scene where EVIL BAD MAN says that he wouldn't hit a woman but that Steve Austin would have no problem doing that.

    Scott Pilgrim

Loved every second of it. Absolutely brilliant. Cant believe its flopped so badly in the states, hopefully the international revenue will boost it.

    The Karate Kid (2010)
Awful, awful, awful. The original was shorter but had more depth and character development than this load of rubbish.

    The Expendables
Not as great as I was expecting, but I enjoyed it more than The A-Team. The scene in the church with those three actors was like an '80s wet dream come true.

    Inception **
    Dull and pretentious.

    Triangle **
Started off really intriguing, but the novelty wore off and I lost interest by the end.

    World's Greatest Dad ***
Was alright, liked how the movie took a completey different turn from the second act.

    Get Him To The Greek

Loved it more than I thought I would. Russel Brand playing himself as a joke is cetain his niche.

Seen others, but keep missing bits by dropping of - Bloody sleep deprivation...missed key points in about 5 movies recently and taken to waiting for the DVDs now...

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One

I will have to see this film again. I went to a midnight show and was excited about it all day long. And then after I left the theater, I felt disappointed. I thought it was shot beautifully (probably the best looking of the Potter films) and the three main actors all really stepped it up. But the script was clunky, seemingly trying to fill time with expository information just to fill up "part one" of two movies.

Overall I thought it was good, but could've been much, much better. I will surely edit this after I see it again.

Due Date - bit of a let down, trys to hard to be Hangover meets Planes, Teains and Automobiles, Downey Jr is but the guy from the hangover, is still playing the same character.

Finally got to see Iron Man 2, started a bit slow, but overall was a good film, not as good as the first one though, the guy playing Justin Hammer was crap though! Mickey Rourke was awesome as ever.

Overall pretty good but not great.

Inception- brilliant, thats all I'll say because I think I'm the last person in the world to see it anyway!

Zombieland- really entertaining little film, some of the kills were excellent

The Social Network- I enjoyed this a lot, it had been hyped up by pretty much everyone I know and it didn't disappoint.

I wasn't on a Jesse Eisenberg binge just had free time to stream a few films at work last night and those two have been on the list for a while Very Happy

    True Grit

When you have the gems that they've created before, it's hard to break that list. I think I'll need a second viewing of this to really judge it. It was a midnight show and I was pretty tired. However, it was beautifully shot and the performances were fantastic.

Devil - very good, I don't usually do horror films but I enjoed this.

The Other Guys - good, I'm not a fan of Ferrell but this was good.

    Wild Target - dull

Robocop 2 - has aged badly!
