As much as I was enjoying seeing the Reds struggle this year, I think this is the best possible thing for them. Obviously everyone will make a fuss over this because it's just another case of Yanks taking over the club. But these guys took over the Red Sox in 02, a team with so much history, and two years later had brought them their first World Series ring since 1918. They respect the tradition and history of the club, and as much as it pains me to say it, I think there are top 4 finishes again in the near future for Liverpool.
Is there a chance though that these owners will only pour what money they have into American Sports and not into Liverpool, which is realy the biggest fear about American owners, as well as them underestimating how much money it really costs to attain silverware.
