Spurs are just playing for penalties now.

Re: Carling Cup Thread
Ironically, we had more attacking oomph once Dawson got hurt. If Bale had had a little more control at the end of his first run (and for an out + out left footer did a great turn at LB) then Bent could have nicked this...
This is just written for Gomes to win this, isnt it...
(that comment is as a former film + media student and part-time writer, not a Spurs fan - think of the headlines)

Didn't you have only one toss in the old days, and you chose your advantage...
......
Well done United. Good game.
Gutted for Jamie again, though.

And if the referee had been watching Ledley King's feet Man Utd would have had a penalty, luck of the draw.
Well done Man Utd. On balance I'd say they deserved it more but Spurs played well. Just wish the game had been a little more exciting.

Football is boring now, well English football is. Ironically, Italian football now seems to be becoming better for entertainment and so does Spanish.

Re: Carling Cup Thread
Main thing on reflection was that they had more posession but rarely worked Gomes - to many touches straight at him. Foster was busier, but we got less posession. All in all, a draw was a fair result.
And penalty wise, we've been denied a few in recent years at old trafford, and had enough on Thursday to win the tie - swings and roundabouts....next 50-50 ball will probably go straight in the back of the net
