    What's everyone's thoughts on the upcoming game?

    Create A Finisher seems promising but the Road to WM doesn't enlighten me. Will buy it but my hopes aren't that high..

    I decided to stop buying these after last year's half-arsed effort. So many bugs, so much repitition.

    Claiming that you had a 3 year story mode should mean you have 3 years worth of storylines, not that you repeat identical ones every year.

    For me... Fire Pro is where it's at now!

    I agree with JK. The series started so well as well, smackdown 2 was a great game!

    What ashame, just goes to show what happens when there's no (mainstream) competition, I will definitely give firepro a look, I've heard a lot about it.

    If you can import it from Italy. Apparently the disks work in UK PS2s without you having to modify it anyway.

    Mines got bits of metal in it to keep the disks spinning whilst I use a swap disk. Really pain in the arse.

    Used to get the religiously, but borrowed 08 from a mate & the loading times were shocking. tBH, I'm that fed up with the lack of quality on the TV show, I'm not sure whether I'll get it or not.

    I can't remember the last SD I bought, it was honestly that long ago. Think it was Here Comes the Pain, the one before they introduced the new grappling system anyway.

    Using the analogue for moves just does not appeal me, and from what I've heard the series hasn't exactly improved alot in years anyway scratch

    That roster is epic. So many wrestler. Who knows, maybe they will actually harness some of the power of the next gen consoles. About damn time.

    I honestly never minded the smackdown games. They were fun and I enjoyed them but 2008 was god awful. It was Smackdown 3 awful almost. The game itself was good but it was plagued with glitches and the worst part was the god AWFUL character developing. I actually got a CAW to 99 overall and to have to raise those stats through the stupid mini-game things was retarded hard.

    Also, under no circumstances should I EVER be forced to play the GM mode again. If in 2009 I'm told in order to progress in the game that I must play GM mode I will return it to the store right then. Hate that effin mode. I hate it so much.

    I thought I might have been too hasty judging it, but having had a quick look at the back of the box and played an in-store demo the other day I can safely say I did not. Looks and feels like the same old story. Add a new feature, don't fix what's broken.

    The Wii has the original version but all other consoles have the WWE Music Vol. 8 Version. Although it shouldn't be a problem for PS3 and 360 owners with the Custom Soundtracks and all...

    I got this game yesterday. It's so much fun! Very Happy

    The season mode is one of the best I've ever played, and the Road To Wrestlemania stories are so entertaining and nothing short of amazing.

    I haven't had a chance to play with a good majority of the people yet, but I'm certainly in no rush to limit the longevity of the game.

    I think it's a huge step up from the last few releases.

    Also snatched the game up today, not played it enough to give my opinion on it but the game itself is a bit refreshing than the dismal SDvsRAW08.
