Re: Official Scottish leagues thread
Handful of morons wrecking a minutes silence. Unfortunately every club in Scotland has the odd arsehole like that. Even Hibs
Good result against Hearts, lets take em back to Easter Road and give them a gubbing at new year
Currently considering going for a half season ticket, they are going at 190 quid, and it'd mean guaranteed tickets for Rangers game and the New Year derby
Cant complain, fantastic start from Yogi we're tucked nicely behind the Weegie 2, and both of them are shite this year. Celtic were pish at Easter Road. We gave Rangers a scare at Ibrox, and I fancy us to beat them at Easter Road on 27th Dec. A good run of results from us or Dundee Utd could seen either of us split the OF.
Hibs need a RB and another CB in Jan for when big Sol Bamba goes off with the Ivory Coast, we'll miss the big man as he's been outstanding (who is Rob Jones
). I've suggested Darren Barr many a time and he'd be a perfect fit, he can play both CB and RB. I'd suggest Hibs offer Falkirk 5-600k in Jan for him as he'll be in last 6 mths of contract, we could get him on a Bosman but he's needed in Jan!
Hectors boys signed an ex-Hibee in David Van Zanten, he'll do a good job for you mate, but he's not SPL class, he was shite for us

Proud owner of an Easter Rd season ticket now, cost 190 quid. First game I'm eligible for is the Rangers game on the 27th

Hopefully we pump you lot. In good form the last 2 games but I am urging caution.
Hibs will be a tough fixture on Sunday.

Re: Official Scottish leagues thread
We were fuckin woeful today, we made Rangers look good. Makalambay is shite, he should be arrested for impersonating a goalie! Only Bamba got pass marks, Hanlon was pish, Lafferty had it easy! We BADLY missed Ian Murray at left back.
Put young Tommy Flynn in goals against St J in midweek if Stack aint fit yet, Maka should never wear a Hibs jersey again , I fear that Hearts will cuff us with that big twat in goal

No they didnt dude, we made them look good due to the fact we were awful, first 30 minutes Rangers were shit, Hibs could have been 2 or 3 up before that wee bastard Miller scored, then we just seem to surrender

Well done to Kris Boyd, but I'm pretty sure Scottish football existed before the SPL.

Re: Official Scottish leagues thread
Delighted that Yogi went out and got another keeper, hopefuly that means Maka-lamity will be heading for the exit door. Been hoping that Graeme Smith would come back to Edinburgh, a very good young goalie, and I know him well, Graeme went to school with me and stayed round the corner from me, hes a good lad! Much better keeper than Big Yves, so we now have 2 decent keepers in Smithy and Stacky! Wonder if 'Buzz' will get a debut against the Jambos tomorrow?
Oh and regarding Boyd, the wee bugger is on fire at mo,he was bloody fantastic against the Arabs in midweek, poor Nicky Weaver! Boyd's a lazy wee bugger but fookin lethal in the penalty area. He will be top scorer by a mile this season

I think at some point in the 60's, they had problems with snow & ice, so they threw sand on the park. The name stuck & I think even the supporters have claimed the nickname.

Re: Official Scottish leagues thread
Hibs were superb yesterday, 3 up at half time and should have been 7. The substitutions after the last 2 goals killed the game kinda, but you wont hear me complaining! Liam Miller was outstanding in CM, signing of the season along with Anthony Stokes who bagged another 2, he's on 13 for the season now. Derek Riordan bagged 2 which take his season tally to 10. Colin Nish chipped in with a goal too. Was very impressed with David Wotherspoon, he's gonna be a special player in a few years

Re: Official Scottish leagues thread
Was at the Hibs-St Mirren game today, we werent brilliant by any stretch of the imagination, too wasteful in the the box, Nish should have had 2 or 3 goals at least. Paul Gallacher in the St Mirren goal had a good game for them. Sol Bamba looked off the pace for about the full first half, Higdon was giving him problems. Good goal from Liam Miller, I only wished he'd scored the first goal as he'd have won me 34 quid at 16-1
. Still its 3 more points, the Hearts lost
and Dundee Utd dropped 2 pts
Liam Miller's been fuckin fantastic for us, great signing! Apparantly Hibs signed another goalie tonight, Mark Brown fi Celtic...good keeper, it surely means Makalambay is on his way out, as we now have 3 good goalies in Graeme Smith, Graham Stack and Mark Brown, lets cut our losses on big Yves and let the lad find a new club.

Re: Official Scottish leagues thread
A relatively quiet transfer window in the SPL. All the big moves (albeit loans) were at Celtic with Robbie Keane, Dio Kamara and the dutch fullback. Rangers never signed anyone (hehehe), Hearts still canny get a decent striker in. Aberdeen land Steven McLean and Jim Paterson.
The Hibs, 2 bits of business, Mark Brown from Celtic (very good move as we now have 3 talented keepers as opposed to none before!) and a loan deal for Alan Gow from Plymouth, yet another shrewd move by John Hughes. Gow is an extra option attacking wise, can play upfront or in the midfield. Hopefully we can make the move permanent.
Hibs now have a shithot attack and midfield. Stokes and Riordan upfront are on close to 30 goals between them already, Colin Nish will chip in with a few too. Benjelloun is capable, but doesnt look interested at mo, and we also have the impressive young Kurtis Byrne as well.
A midield of Meroane Zemamma, Kevin McBride, Liam Miller and Alan Gow has a nice balance to it and will create lots of chances. And John Rankin, Paddy Cregg, Lewis Stevenson and Daniel Galbraith are able backups.
Good to be a Hibee at moment, 3rd place beckons and a couple of Euro ties next season perhaps??

Re: Official Scottish leagues thread
Was ashamed to wear my Hibs top last night, we got dumped out of the Scottish Cup by Ross County 2-1. Shambolic
. Especially coming off the meek surrendering against the Hearts scum on Saturday
We have been shit since the win at Parkhead. Bamba's been shit since coming from African Nations but Yogi insists we need him in defence, push him infront of the defence to protect our relatively small midfield. If all fit the back 4 should be Hogg and Hanlon at CB, Wotherspoon RB and Murray LB. Mr Hughes' team selections are puzzling at times

Re: Official Scottish leagues thread
Hibs never do things the easy way, at least we are in Europe, left it till the last game of the season to guarantee it. Really though 3rd place was ours, but 3 wins in 16 games is piss poor form. Into the 3rd qualifying round for Europa Lge
Weve let Darren McCormack, Yves Makalabay, Patrick Cregg and Abdessalam Benjelloun leave the club and sent Alan Gow back to Plymouth. We are 3-4 players short of a good run next year. Need a RB, 2CB's...3 if Bamba goes and a tough midfield enforcer. Word is Hughes wants Preston's Michael Hart and Carlisle's Richard Keogh...Hart would do a job for us at RB

Hughes left it late but I like the sound of our newest signing, powerful 30 year old midfielder from NAC Breda Edwin De Graaf, sounds like a player we've lacked since the days of Pat McGinlay, box to box midfielder with a bit of bite to him, big lad at 6ft 1-2
