Good win, nice to see the Big Show score after suffering a potentaially career ending injury last season.

I see the West Ham Millwall game certainly lived up to its reputation.

I think West Ham should be thrown out and Millwall banned for a couple of sesons, they did the same last year at Hull.

Wasn't it generally West Ham that were the target? Millwall's only complaint against them was that they only gave them about 2300 seats.

Which, for the record, is about 2300 more than Arsenal tried to give us a couple of years back for a semi. There's supposed to be a 10% rule, isn't there?

Both were as bad as each other. Typical Millsmall logic, blaming the trouble on the small allocation. I wonder how many they will take to the next non-London match? 50??

I wasn't only blaming the Millwall fans, but as I didn't watch the game, haven't seen the footage and have only gone off the reports I've read and heard, I've become aware Millwall very specificaly said 1. they were not condoning any of the "fans" involved, 2. that they would be investigating and ban anyone involved for life and 3. that their only complaint was the low allocation.

Also, the only player who I have seen comments from about the abuse he recieved was Carlton Cole.

Also, Millwall have a well-documented reptation for holliganism and West Ham had a match against their sef-proclaimed "biggest rivals" at the weekend without any trouble.

So all in all, logic based on multiple facts, not purely on numbers, would dictate Millwall's following - not the club or it's actual football fans - as being more likely to be responsible. Yes, both were clearly involved, but why is it that trouble only follows one club so obviously?

edit: NOW I've seen the footage, and yes the Hammers fans were less than covering themselves in glory. That said strange how they're only like that against Millwall fans. I agree with Cottee's idea of closed doors if the fixture (or any known to have a significant risk of hooliganism) is due to be played in future.

That's the most stupidest thing I've ever heard. Very Happy

I agree that its stupid, its mearly avoiding the problem rather than dealing with it.
