Your character in ME2 is directly affected by everything you did in ME1 so I'm playing through it again, Trying to hit Level 60 but it just takes way too long.

I've just started ME2, when you import your character all you get is a small lvl boost and some credits extra, at the end of the first mission I was lvl 4, but my mate who did not import a charater was lvl 2.

All your decisions from the first game are carried over, though.

Yeah but the reward for finishing the 1st game is not exactly much.

However it is great, on one loading screen it tells you that you decisions in this will carry over to ME3!

Even though the rewards for importing are small, the storyline elements really make a difference. I'm playing two characters, a totally new one and an imported one, and I feel a lot of the minutia is drastically different between the two because of the decisions I made and the default decisions.

I finished my first play through, it took 33 hours and I got 43 achievements, I shall now leave it for a while and then go back and do a second play through.

I completed Mass Effect 2 on insanity and mopped up all the last achievements (Power Gamer). Now just have to await the new DLC coming later this month.

Started playing Bioshock 2. The multiplayer is surprisingly good although it has a major freezing problem that 2K Games is taking forever to address. The single-player also retains the spirit of the first game.

I'm like 30 hours into ME2 and this game will not die. I cant decide weather i'm going to nail Jack or Mirranda though.

And you've got Kasumi coming next month. I mean the not dying part, not the nailing part. Ah hell, nail her too.

Dragon Age: Awakening - good, I read a review that said it only added 6-8 hours, I got 18 hours out of it.

Obviously it's going to take longer if you're rubbish at it.

Back on Modern Warfare 2 at the moment. Had 11 days off and just played in short bursts between other things to avoid getting too frustrated. If I could just defend the safehouse a bit longer now I'd be laughing

Currently playing Dragon Age: Origins and loving it. Got to the last battle with no real problems and FUCK Evil or Very Mad.

I can't get by the first wave of orcs (er.. darkspawn). I've looked online, I've talked with my mate (on the exact same bit, although he can get by the first wave) but nothing helps. Apparently your army is supposed to deal with the darkspawn (who largely ignore you) while you chip away at the archdemon. Not mine. No matter what I do, which army I use, where I go the darkspawn all follow me while my army stand in the middle doing sweet fuck all. I know there's a cheap way of doing it by standing at both ends of the ballista towers and making him stagger, but I don't want to do it that way after like 40 hours.

Very annoying to fail at a battle which everyone else seemed to have found easy Sad.

PC or console? PC lets you use a zoom out feature for much better tactical control. Also how effectively are you using your mages? I never go anywhere without Wynn to heal and Morrigan or myself to nuke the enemies. Try and use your warrior as a tank, set him up to be ridiculously defensive and have him kite all the aggro from enemies, then use your mages to nuke everyone while they are distracted by the tank. I can complete the entire game on hardest difficulty with just myself (Blood Mage), Morrigan (Blood Mage), Wynn (Healer) and Alistair (Tank).
