Most of those appearances were as a substitute. He didn't start playing regularly till the Christmas period and he was injured in February. When he was playing regularly (for a vast 2 months) he scored all 4 of those goals, plus one in the FA cup, and also got about six assists.

If you deeper into the depths of Wikipedia you'll find he scored 12 goals with eight assists in 22 starts in all competitions which imo isn't bad going for a player in his first season, esp when jumping from Eastern Europe to the Premiership. He also bagged 10 goals in 12 qualifying matches for Croatia which is more than Rooney managed.

Also, this is interesting, December-February of his first season is when Henry suddenly went from being an expensive sack of crap to starting his journey to becoming the Premiership's best striker year after year... if Eduardo hadn't had his leg broken who knows what would've happened. If he recovers fully from his injury then I wouldn't write him off just yet.

Andy Cole came back pretty strongly from two broken legs so maybe Eduardo will be alright

Harry Kewell never returned to the his best form after he was suffered a bad injury for Leeds same with Bridges, but then Eduardo has come back pretty quick so maybe that will help.

Yeah but in fairness Harry Kewell is a lazy cunt. For all we know he's been fully fit for years.

He certainly didn't have trouble running a lap of honour with the champions league trophy despite being unable to play in the actual game for more than 13 minutes due to a knee injury.

Man City have signed Gareth Barry for the first big signing of the summer

Barry has shown himself to be a bit of a cock here, all his talk last year about needing Champions league football at this stage of his career and now he leaves for a team that finished out of the european places and below even Villa. It would be better for all involved if he just admits he did it for the money

My first thought was you'll definitely sign Tevez and Ribery, but the prices for them are about to sky rocket.

Although he's bloody good I'm glad that the Ronaldo saga is over. If they want to pay a stupid fee for him, fine, we'll take the 80M and get either Benzema/Silva/Ribery and keep Tevez. Although Cristiano is an awesome player, no one player's bigger than Utd, let the moody cunt go

Trust me, you'll sign two players at most, especially given that the prices will be increased because you have the money. Tevez will be unlikely because 1. they feel mucked around by you and 2. even if you match the asking price, City will just offer more money in feeif needed and definately wages.

One thing's for sure, thre'll be less calls for video replays now that he's gone. Exceptional talent whose loss will hurt you, but goes down crying if he runs into a long blade of grass and has an atrocious attitude.

And apparently we've had a Muntari bid rejected

United have confirmed Tevez will be leaving, apparently they offered him a five year contract and he turned it down

So thats two of our biggest players gone and no one in yet. Time to get the finger out I think

Blatter said the other day that there is to much money in the Premier league and that it is ruining football, or something like that, what a fucking joke. He's an idiot.

I really hate Sepp Blatter, and his blatent hatred for the English league. How can someone who hates an entire league be allowed to be in charge of FIFA.
