Film's you've seen today - Tue Aug 02, 2011 10:19 pm
Went to Germany to see my girlfriend who was studying out there. "Encouraged" me to watch the Harry Potter films as I'd avoided them all and, surprisingly, enjoyed them! The latter ones are much better than the early ones but the narrative of them all play out in the final one. When the inevitable box-set comes out when Deathly Hallows Part 2 is released I may have to invest.

So Who Actually Still Watches Wrestling? - Fri Oct 22, 2010 5:15 pm
Haven't watched in a long time. If there's a cheap DVD to be had I'll pick that up but otherwise I'll leave it. Still read 411mania a lot for its reviews but that's about it for me. Did watch Royal Rumble 1991 the other day though, good times.

Actually, add AFC Wimbledon, I kinda like keeping an eye on what they're up to.

You missed Blackburn Gari, not really surprising!
To me a good team to look out for in the Premier league this season is Wolves, good fan base, not going to achieve much but have it in them to succeed. I'm a Liverpool fan myself but I think English football is more served to have fans who support teams who aren't dripping in money so much. You'd be better off I think going to a team in the lower divisions but coverage Stateside for one is likely to be awful.

I know that there's a Rule (Rule E20?) saying something along the lines of that a team must play a full-strength squad but given other teams have done what Man U (and no doubt other teams like Liverpool @ Fulham last year or the year before, to give the kids a run-out) will do then I don't see how it's punishable.

It's actually a really good game once you get your head around how it works, pretty skilful and quick but doesn't score so much that you don't care like in basketball. Scunthorpe or Tranmere for the final spot?Big Dave wrote:Leeds are now secure in the play offs with two games left.
Tranmere (6th) vs Yeovil (17th)
Leicester (1st) vs Scunthorpe (7th)
Scunthorpe (7th) vs Cheltenham (23rd)
Big six-pointer for the last game, Scunthorpe vs Tranmere. You can see Tranmere beating Yeovil, Leicester beating Scunny and, in return, Scunny beating Cheltenham. That'd leave that last game very delicately poised.

quoted this from another forum I go to for my Aussie Rules team:
Context:
Rafa's reaction - he was telling the boys not to hurry the free kick... and then laughed after it went in.
Taggart wrote:But arrogance is one thing. You cannot forgive contempt, which is what he showed (Blackburn manager) Sam Allardyce last weekend.
When Liverpool scored their second goal he signalled as if the game was finished. I do not think Sam deserved that.
Sam has worked so hard for the LMA (League Managers' Association) and he's had a weakened team. I just thought it showed contempt.
In my experience no Liverpool manager has ever done that. It was beyond the pale.
Have a look at yourself you gin-soaked bacon faced whiskey nosed old drunken Scotch c**t.
